the local black cat got caught in my yard this morning and my male cat Simon went after him like a bat out of h-e-l-l. I had a time getting black cat out of the yard at 6am. Never a dull moment!

We live in an apartment so I don't have to deal with anything like that, although I'm often awakened rudely by a Cosmo v. Screech girlfight. (My cats fight like girls, lots of slapping and hair pulling.)

He did connect with the poor unsuspecting puss. I hope black kitty is OK. I feel bad since I got up and opened the door to let my cats out. The poor thing never saw Simon coming. But they'll live. It just sounded worse than it was as you know! ha ha

black puss used to hang out in my yard before I moved into this little rental house. He slept in a little tin house and just had the run of the yard. So I'm so rude, I moved in and put up CatFenceIn, which is a netting that keeps my cats in and others out. Black cat was devastated and now gets up on the roof and "drops in" from above, then can't get out! I have to open the side gate and hope the cat gets it. They usually do. :-)

CatFenceIn is just so great, I've used it for years! Can't recommend it enuff.

I've never heard of CatFenceIn, it sounds great - thanks for the info. If/when we move into a house, I'll have to look into it. I'd love to be able to let the kitties outside without worrying about them wandering off.

I've had Head On Radio on since Guy James show this afternoon! Thats 8 hours solid. An excellent station to listen to while Mike is furloghed. This brings back memories as I RARELY missed Mike in the ieamerica days! Hopes he gets back soon...this can only suffice for so long! :headbang:

So I'm running very very s-l-o-w. Got a giggle reading about the kittie wars above. I remember that scene very well. I used to love to sneak up on our tiny little girl (Mindy) as she was doing a rare hiss out at her brother (Mork, naturally) and touch her wirebrush tail. She would freak and run, and her brother, who was a third again her size, would run to the couch and stick his head under, thinking he was hid, with his whole body sticking out into the room. :rofl:
