Detainee's healthcare "better than many Americans get" - Frist

WASHINGTON - Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., said Tuesday his recent trip to the Guantanamo Bay detainee camp showed excellent prison conditions, including "24/7 medical care - better than many Americans" get.
Nevertheless, Frist, a former physician, said that the Senate must authorize military commissions to prosecute the alleged terrorists at Guantanamo in Cuba and elsewhere for "war crimes." He visited the prison with two other senators Sunday to prepare for Senate debate on legislation to legalize the commissions after a U.S. Supreme Court decision in June said they lacked congressional approval.

2. Excellent endorsement Dr. Frist...
Guantanamo prison detainees get better health care than most Americans...do you hear yourself talking numbnuts?

Why is this man still aloud to practice medicine? He's obviously criminally insane.

6. Frist later added...
"It's pretty amazing really. After a detainee is senselessly beaten or has electrodes removed from their testicles, they immediately recieve medical attention. It makes me proud to be an American."

:sarcasm:

8. Frist's solution is to take away the detainee's care to even things up.
Rather than improving the lot of uninsured Americans.

Here's my solution:

1. Pay Congressmen no more than the minimum wage
2. Allow every American access to the same health care Congressmen get.

If you count the Americans who can't afford any health care at all.

Those who have insurance are doing a bit better than the detainees, because their doctors are not trying to figure out how to torture them more effectively.

So I would put the detainee's health care somewhere in the middle.

15. Frist is an asshole and he commited Fraud
regarding his Medical License. His license may be revoked, as it should be. It is amazing that he is actually a Heart Surgon, which one would presume requires a high IQ and skill, yet as a Senator he comes off as such a dumbass.

Health Care in the US is in dire trouble. As an MD, one would think that he would be concerned about America's problem with 43 Million being without any Medical Insurance, instead of making such a lame statement about GITMO Detainees.
