Maybe it's the only way to stop the hijacking? Get back to paper ballots.

6. I don't mean to steal the election, but to finally expose what is wrong
with the e-voting system.

2. We should immediately launch an all-out hacking campaign
to infiltrate all the repuke electronic fraud machines.

I'm a little busy at the moment and my techie days are pretty far behind me at this point, but I'm sure someone will bravely take up the banner and get right on it.

3. Monkey with? If you mean hack, no not at all. Monitor and make
...sure others don't most certainly along with giving everyone the chance to vote.

4. No, not since MSNBC has run the story
and other outlets may pick it up. We know what the polls say about how this election is shaping up. If the GOP gets another big win against all the polls, everyone will know for certain that the machines are crooked.

However, the advice to Dems still stands: get an absentee ballot, if possible. If you can't, don't vote a straight ticket. Give a local vote to a Green (school board or something similar) or any other splinter party.

Personally, I think the way to challenge these machines is by their lack of ability to register votes for write in candidates. It might be something for legal eagles in states that still use them to consider.

NM went to paper ballots. 17,000+ of us had our votes stolen in 2004, simply erased.

5. I'm planning on protesting the day after the election.
Mark down Wednesday November 8th on your calendars, and start making arrangements with your employers now to take that day off. I say that if we see anything even slightly suspicious on election day, start marching.

7. only if we make
it so the pukes win with 100%. then every one will know it's hacked and blame the previously guilty party.

8. Locking
DU does not support anything but an honest vote count.

The neo-cons in the GOP are apparently the only entity that supports these measures, and they are being called on it, abeit very late.

Thank you for your understanding.
