10. Back about 20 years ago
I was an election judge and I realized toward the end of the day that I had given one voter a ballot for the neighboring district so he/she (don't remember) voted for candidates in the neighboring district.

I ..... 'ed up. I told the elections people at the end of the day and apologized, but what can you do?

3. Once again...I say that anyone in charge of election processes
and events should be held legally accountable for their job....this is how serious it is....screw ups, mistakes (there is no reason for these, they know when the elections are, they know what needs to be done....yet all we here is how they weren't prepared).

Deriliction of a government/state duty, whatever you want to call it they should be held accountable to the law.

8. You have a valid point...
Andrea LaRue, a lawyer volunteering on behalf of U.S. Senate candidate Ben Cardin, steps up to the counter with a question for Dacek.

"Do you have a chain-of-custody plan for the provisional ballots?" LaRue asks.

"A who?" Dacek replies.

Mary Shine couldn't believe what she was hearing.

Where do they get these election board members? It sounds like they have very little, if any, qualifications for the job. It also sounds like they don't have a lick of sense when dealing with systems (and I don't necessarily mean "technological"). In fact, it sounds like they haven't any common sense at all...

It's like the vote-counting debacle in Florida in 2000. If I were the election board supervisor in charge that operation, I would have told the GOP mobsters to "get the f*ck out of there!" in no uncertain terms! (I still don't understand how a small mob of Repukes could have done that)

I sure as hell wouldn't have folded like weak-kneed pansy.

4. This fiasco was truly unbelievable -
like so many happenings when this admin. has anything to do with it.

All Democrats running for office this Nov. must make their objections to any appearance of fraud, theft, deceipt or any suggestion of a faulty election procedure in their areas, period. No more Mr./Mrs Nice Guy like Kerry. What do Dems have to lose, get real.

5. We're back to the 9/11 conundrum...
can they really be that incompetent, or is it all a vast right wing conspiracy?

6. I voted in the afternoon in Montgomery County
and there were no outward problems.... However, we voted on touchscreen Diebold machines so who knows what was recorded. I don't understand why these machines are still being used. I could be playing a video game for all I know.

9. I don't like mail in ballots
because you have no way of telling if the voter actually voted or someone else, and if it was a secret ballot or not.

I can see a husband (or wife) standing over his spouse's shoulder watching them vote. That's not the was it's supposed to be.
