1. e-tickets
are all you need.

Just print them from your email receipt just in case.

2. E tickets are fine
Print out the confirmation, and use the e reservation to check in online and print out your boarding pass. Most airlines offer both services. I haven't had a paper ticket in years.

4. I flew transcontinental on 9/11. E-tickets were fine.
In fact I was a little ticked because I always enjoyed the fact that so few people bother with e-tickets. This time there was actually a line to use e-tickets.

Even if its a short trip I would check you bags especially with any toiletries. They will take your shaving cream and toothpaste.

5. E-tix are fine.....
I'm not sure airline staff would even know what to do with a paper ticket anymore.

7. E-tkts
Paper tkts cost 25.00 extra to have printed...If you loose or your tkt are stolen it will cost you $100.00 to have your tkts reissued!!!
E-tkts are best!

8. Always use them
I keep the verification that I print out from my computer but I've never needed to show it.

10. Don't do paper tickets
They are like cash, and if you lose them, the airline will make you buy another one.

11. Thanks for the advice. I didn't even think about them being
stolen, but that's good to know.

No way will I mess with the paper tickets!

14. E-tickets are fine, if you take some basic precautions
When I fly, I always have both my eticket and a printout of my confirmation with my eticket number, both in different pockets. If the eticket gets lost or stolen, you can use the confirmation to alert security about the missing ticket and to get the ticket replaced.

Another thing I've found useful is that many airlines now allow you to check in online up to 24 hours before your flight, even print out a boarding pass. If you have no checked baggage, it can be pretty handy not to have to stand in yet another line at the airport. That is why the ID checks have been moved from the ticketing desks to the security checkpoints. If you have a good quality printer, give it a try.

16. e-tix rule - no problems whatsoever with them
you can usually just swipe your credit card (which lets the machine look up your name and match it to the ticket, doesnt charge your card) and it prints them out right there

It took 15 minutes to get in on Sunday using e-tx and no checked baggage, even at ATL hartsfield/jackson.
