Poll question: Do you think that Bush's recent poll gains are temporary?
For the first time in a long time most polls have Bush in the 40's:

NBC 42%
ABC 42%
CNN 41%
GAllup has him at 39%

Rasmussen, as usual, is higher than anyone at 47%.

I've always believed that Bush's declining poll ratings are tied to high gas prices more than anything and wonder if we are going to see continued rises in Bush's ratings up til the November elections or if this is just a temporary 9/11 type of jump?

What do you think?

3. It means he won't
have to kill 1000's of Americans for his October Surprise.

I suggest DU'ing every poll in his favor from now on.

5. Repug support is *very* soft.

Dem support is firm. That's why we're seeing it jump up and down. There are many undecideds who have not committed to the Democrats. God only knows why. I suspect that it's because they've been voting Repuke for some time and are afraid of making a public commitment. But people are extremely weary of these ChimpCo idiots and things are turning around for the Dems.

The Repuke Congress approval polling is terrible and getting worse--36%!!!

The campaign is a short one week old. Let's keep fighting the good fight and let things happen. It *is* going to happen this time. We have to remain optimistic and have faith in the Dem leaders one more time.

Of course, we can all be very vocal and write to Dr. Dean and the other leaders to remind them that this is likely the last opportunity we'll have to stop the madness. If we don't take back the House this time, there will be little hope left for us in 2008.

We cannot afford to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory again. We're running out of time. It's now or never. We need to remind them of that every day.

6. Expect things to change dramatically...
...over the next two months. Gas prices will go down, stocks will soar, and * will be sweet as pie. After November he will be back to being a fascist again.
