When your Congressman or Senator runs a lame fucking ad, burn this to CD, send it to them, and tell them to fire their campaign manager.

11. ask & ye shall receive
Here is a link to a PDF of their print ad:

http://www.votevets.org/storage/votevets/documents/printad9-7.pdf

They also had a radio ad running here in the Hartford area.

To summarize, They said they were back from Iraq and had some tough questions (What is our military mission in Iraq? Where are those WMD?, etc) and, then wondered why Joe Lieberman didn't ask any of them.

3. independent group, not the Dems
The Dems commercials would be more like "I firmly believe whatever does not offend big business or the GOP."

4. Does anyone know if there was an equivalent vote in the House on this?
Would be useful to run against slimeball Mark "Screech" Kennedy who is now running for Senate here in Minnesota.

To see if it is something that can be run against Rob Simmons, Chris Shays or Nancy Johnson here in CT...

13. Now they need one to ask who profited from the war...
this our debt for the war.

this the number of soldiers who have died.

this is the number of Iraqis who have died.

this is the profits of the oil companies.

this is the stock price of Halliburton.

Any questions?

19. One thing I find confusing...
We faced the AK-47 in Vietnam - it was 'today's' weapon back in the 60's.

Am I to infer from the ad that the Vietnam-era "flak jackets" that were issued to our troops in Iraq were ineffective in Vietnam, and that modern armor provides effective protection to the torso and head?

The ad sort of sounds like weapons have evolved and armor hasn't - where in reality it's the same weapons and now better armor.

20. the old ones could deflect shrapnel and smaller arms fire not a straight
on shot from a larger caliber like an AK-47.

the gun didn't change, but defenses got better.
