5. This comment is so scary, I have no words for its stupidity
Sen. John Cornyn (news, bio, voting record), R-Texas, who supports the administration, said he did not think the Bush plan would endanger U.S. troops because al-Qaida doesn't take prisoners. "The prisoners they do take they behead," he said.

I'm just totally amazed; this is so bone-headed in so many ways, it's impossible to figure out where to start. Al Qaeda is our only enemy and the only one we will ever have? Torturing their people is going to make them act better toward ours? What is this moron trying to say? Rules are for other people? There will never be another war in which these rules might be useful?

We have to get these animals out of office by any means.

3. I repeat:
Amazing how folks who never fought on the battlefield and never will

nor will their children, are so zealous to have laws that allow torture and war tribunals in which defendents won't have access to evidence against them and in some cases won't even know the charges against them. Yet the men and women who HAVE fought on the battlefield unanimously agree that torture is not the answer nor should evidence obtained under torture be used in these trials. What absolute arrogance of the chickenhawks. And in the hell don't the Dems who are fighting agaist this and their Republican coharts like McCain speak out more to the American people about this. They should all be saying that this shit is mostly coming from those who have never served in the military and never fought in a battle.

6. I'm trying to figure
exactly what it is within the Geneva Conventions that requires any "legal interpretation" whatsoever.

Torture is torture - not a matter of degree. If you have tortured someone a little bit then you have in fact tortured them.

9. The Hague would be a good place to start.
:hi:

Impeach them all, I say. Tony Blair is being shown the door in the U.K. Can this cabal be far behind?
