Muskogee County, Oklahoma needs DU support
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 07:38 AM by sazemisery
A petition has been drawn to impanel a Muskogee County Grand Jury to investigate possible criminal activities of the Bush Administration and to force Impeachment proceedings. Only residents of Muskogee County can sign the grand jury petition but there is an online petition of support for this movement.

I live in Muskogee County. It is going to be an uphill battle to acquire 2500 signatures. Rep. Dan Boren (DINO) has his regional office here and I am sure he is not for this movement. There will be many Democrats that don't want the boat rocked in this state because leading Democrats in this state are Centrists who make deals with the Repugs so they can retain their seats of office.

For background on this movement:

TO SIGN THE PETITION OF SUPPORT:

PLEASE, SIGN THIS PETITION. THERE ARE ONLY 453 SIGNATURES SO FAR. I KNOW DU'ERS CAN PUT THIS WAY OVER THE TOP TO SHOW MUSKOGEE COUNTY VOTERS THAT THERE ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS STANDING BEHIND THEM IN THEIR EFFORT TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER AND MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR CRIMES

sorry for yelling

Could I get a recommendation too, please? :eyes:

7. How many residents in Muskogee County?
I suggest you and a few others (the more the better) go to the largest post offices, and bring an ironing board to use as a signing table. (Portable and the right height for multiple easy signing, in other words you can have 2, 3, or 4 people signing at the same time with one signature gatherer.)

You may never get "official" Dem sanction for the petition but if you go directly to the citizens I know from experience that 2500 signatures isn't that many. 3 motivated signature gatherers could do that in 2 weeks or less.

Post offices are very good because there is a lot of foot traffic and it's your right to petition the Government. Usually outside near the approach to a door but not blocking the door. (unlike, say a mall, where they can kick you out.) Colleges where there is foot traffic are good also, as are public streets with high foot traffic.

If registered voters need to sign, bring registration cards and register voters and then have them sign.(If that's possible in OK.)

You need to ask people to sign and tell them quickly why it's important to sign. Ask and you shall receive.

i have done 100 signatures a day this way (about 5-7 hours of work) consistently. Don't waste much time debating opponents, focus on supporters or potential supporters.

You can do this.

Good luck! And thank you.:)

8. I'm in Lawton, so I signed the support petition. Just in casual
conversations I've found that despite the damn "W" bumperstickers you still see around OK, a whole lot of Okies see this administration for exactly what it is. Be bold, and go after those signatures everywhere people are gathered, and I'm sure you will get plenty of support. Remember, the heartland here is where farm unions and a great deal of the political activism that elected FDR began and flourished. Much of the red state blue state divide is a rightwing msm contrivance. One exception is the many people here who are currently flourishing working for Haliburton, which in it's latest deal is building some kind of truck manufacturing plant in Duncan.

Good luck!!!!!
