See how Jon Stewart handled Gillespie?
If that had been Bill O., he would have shouted the opposition down, made some glib remark, told another lie, then yelled some more.

Meanwhile Jon asks all the right questions in oh so polite a manner and let's them stew in their own bullshit talking points and spin.....and you get great stuff like "We're going after the soccer mom vote."

:woohoo: :bounce: :woohoo: :bounce:

1. Jon was great, but ...
it's really pathetic that it takes a COMEDIAN to get real answers, while "journalists" pitch softball questions and allow evasive responses.

In any case ...

YOU'RE THE BEST, JON!!!

6. Do you know what's really bizarre?
It's looking more and more like our Democracy can only be saved by a comedian and a sportscaster! B-)

2. Similar in many respects to Colbert

Reminds of the Colbert-William Kristol interview. First, soften him up by throwing PNAC in his face, then make him admit to never serving his country, a necessary requirement for membership in the 101st Chickenhawk Armchair Battalion!

5. That interview, and Mr. 10 Commandment-guy, are two reasons
why I try not to miss the Colbert Report.

7. Still amazed at all the freepers going to the Daily Show
to promote their books. But then, this is the only show where you know the viewers read books.
