4. Says that he is optimistic that Dems will take House and
chances are good we'll get our six Senate seats based on an "overwhelming majority" of people who are not happy with things the way they are.

15. He disagrees with DUH-bya in that....
he doesn't believe the security of America is dependent on our troops remaining in Iraq. Common sense stuff like that. :)

9. We need Bill Clinton to stop
gallivanting around with his new best buddy Poppy Bush and start standing with ex-President Carter so we can have some sort of united front against these goddamn fascists in the Oval Office. The Democratic Congressional "leadership" hasn't made any effect or even a dent, so maybe 2 united Democratic ex-Presidents can accomplish something together or serve as an inspiration to the democrats in Congress. Carter, Murtha & Feingold (bless them all for forcefully speaking out) are not enough. We need ALL the big names pulling together on this. I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice to see.

12. Shekels
Carter's the real deal. Perhaps you've noticed that Clinton's dealings (Mr. and Mrs) tend to be highly correlated with receipt of shekels.

13. it amazes me how sharp that guy is for his age!
he's over 80, and Carter's mind is still far sharper than Reagan's was when he was in office! Everytime I see him speak, I always think about how much better this country would now be if he had been re-elected.

Carter is willing to speak out against Lieberman, and against Bush's nonstop badmouthing us as traitors. It took allot of courage for Carter to make that diplomatic trip to North Korea. I hope more Democrats follow his example, he'll always be a hero to me..and a top reason I'm still a Democrat.
