It took Amazon.com several years to get out of the red.

Everybody thought they were going under, but they prevailed. I think Air America will too. It's just difficult to be a start up enterprise, especially one which has no real market models to follow.

3. Yes, I think I remember they had a lot of problems too.

I'm most aware of Amazon.com. It was a totally new, but brilliant I thought, concept for selling merchandise. But for whatever reasons (I'm a dunce at marketing) new business ventures are very difficult to start up. Takes perseverance and determination. AA has both!
