I swear, I am not going to get as obsessed with this election
as I did with the one in 04. I will not. I can't hurt the way that I did last time and remain politically active and aware. I was scanning CNN or MSN, can't remember which, and my heart did that little trip as I read a headline that cast doubts on the dem's chances to regain the house this year. And I closed the site.

Last time I spent hours each night obsessing about the latest poll, trying to read between the lines, and hours and hours obsessing with other like minded souls about it here. When we lost or got robbed or whatever it was that happened, my heart broke. Still not over it, probably never will be.

Not gonna do it again. Nope.

1. I am with you
If a majority of Americans are stupid enough to let this administration carry on and continue the status quo, then I may be finished with politics. I will still vote my conscience but I will not spend the time and energy and get my hopes up to have them crushed again and again.

4. Sorry to sound so down.
Not meaning that I will give up, just not get so invested emotionally this time. My election volunteer activities are starting to really pick up, and I found myself with the giddy, butterflies in the belly we have to win this thing feeling. This time I will show up, work my butt off, and let the results take care of themselves. At least that is the plan.

5. election
I feel your pain, if Diebold wins again in this election then we are all screwed

I am doing what I can to help Bryan Kennedy Wisconsin 5 against Sensenbrenner
even though I live in Oregon

Sensenbrenner is the one we really need to defeat, and when we do and if we dont win the house
or Senate, then I will still be happy.

But I know we will win the House

And Mark my words, Virginia and Tennessee are the focus for the Senate
if we win those 2, then we can win the Senate.....my prediction!!!

9. I am working Kissel, NC Cong 8th.
He is running against Robin Hayes. Not my district, but only a few miles from it so I can do serious GOTV there.

8. You and me both...
... especially since the Dems are sitting on their hands again.

I've already come up with good reasons why it won't be the end of the world if Dems don't take the house. :)

10. Its gonna be what its gonna be.
I am not in charge of it. I can do my small part and do it well, but after that I need to just let it go.

11. That's exactly how I see it..
... America will wake the fuck up when it's ready. I do my part, but I can't convince joe six pack to vote or some wingnut to compare Jesus' teachings to liberal and conservative doctrines.

America will get the government it deserves. Let's hope it's beginning to deserve a better one.
