6. Why do some not comment on what he is doing, only his looks?

I noticed this in a previous thread also and wondered then also. So what if he has dark hair and a long beard. Yes, it is possible to put a turban on him, or to say he looks "arabic", "near/middle eastern". If the point is that sterotyping people by their looks is wrong, that is good. (My aging parent has (we suspect) some Indian genes in him, gets pulled aside for more screening often when flies, you never know about those midwestern UCCers. Gets tired of it)

This sounds like a 1-off that has turned into a 5+ yr thing, good reminder for all that Osama has not been found. Thanks teacher for bringing this point home to your students every day, for years, and years. Hey Mr.bush, where's Osama? Remember him? The thug that attacked us? (in bush-speak)

I haven't cut my beard since then either, and it's still nowhere near as long as his (although it's not bad, as beards go). Or possibly his just naturally grows faster than mine, or something.
