Oliver Stone hints at darker 9/11 film in future

Moscow -- U.S. filmmaker Oliver Stone, who surprised many with the patriotic flavour of his new film World Trade Center, hinted in Moscow yesterday that he is considering a more controversial follow-up investigating the "conspiracy" around 9/11.

"There is a great story in a movie, a conspiracy by a group of people in the American administration who have an agenda and who used 9/11 to further that agenda," he told journalists in Russia.

There could be a "fascinating project what happened after Sept. 11," the director said at his packed press conference on the fifth anniversary of the attacks.

Stone accused U.S. President George W. Bush of mishandling the fight against Osama bin Laden's militants and using the crisis to stoke fear and bolster his own power at home in a way that was "right out of George Orwell." AFP

2. Nice! I predicted that this first film of his was "insurance" for a...
...second, more-controversial movie on the subject to be taken seriously. The level of work Stone did on JFK was tremendous. Only someone who can't stop digging because of natural curiosity would stick on a project of that magnitude. 9/11, same thing.

5. Memo to Stone: Get Selma Hayek to play Sibel Edmonds!
I'm still trying to think of who would make the best Kristin Breitweiser. I'm not sure which of the many 9/11 stories Stone is considering to uncover the many conspiracies of 9/11, but I can't wait to see it!

9. Excellent choice!
Your pics prove it. I also think Virginia Madsen would make an excellent Valerie Plame, though I'm not sure if that story could be squeezed into a 9/11 movie.

8. McVey failed to deliver their "next Pearl Harbor",...got caught.
That's been my thought for the day, particularly since the neoCONmonsters presented PNAC to Clinton around that time.

I believe I have witnessed pure human evil rise to the top in my own country. I also believe, they will sink like shit ---> floats to the surface of water then quickly scums the bottom.
