I'm ready to gloat this November
Not saying I will, but I'm so looking forward to feeling good the day after the midterms. I am daring to be optimistic. I am allowing myself to feel anticipation, keeping the alternative in mind of course.

And I know that our work is not done if we sweep the house and senate, but only beginning.

But I dooooo sooo look forward to a good gloat, and a taste of vindication.

1. I am very optimistic.
That snowball is going down a steep hill & the RNC is at the bottom waiting for it.

3. I'm always a pessimist
and have been ever since Nixon got in and the Dems abandoned liberalism.

I'm open to pleasant surprises, but expecting more of the dismal same.

4. Lets not count our chickens before the eggs have hatched
I to want to gloat come November, but I just don't trust KKKarl and his band of thieves. They will do what ever it takes to try and win or steal this election just have they are used to doing in the past.

I am not to a place where I feel we are going to see the change we so desperately need to save the nation from the bu$h regime.

6. I plan to gloat in a quiet way - particularly by noting how sure
the republicans havebeen that the "real" american people are behind them.

9. RNC will spend $60M, five times DNC's $12M
We haven't won anything yet.

The Republicans proved in the Lincoln Chaffee primary on Rhode Island yesterday that they can get-out-the-vote with micro-targetting.

They also have more money:

11. No pre-election gloating please
I remember the last two. It will jinx us. I would propose the mods delete any gloating posts before November.

12. not ready to gloat
I have a bad feeling we may not pull it out- sorry. I'm not psychic by any means, but my feelings about how events will turn out are more right than wrong.

A poll cited on radio this morning shows that the GOP has recaptured a majority of public confidence that they are better at domestic security than the opposition party (us). And "war on terror" is moving up on the list of issues Americans say they are worried about. Chimpy's relentless drumbeat on terror and ooga-booga politics may be taking hold.

Dems have got to get down and dirty with the Repuke scumbags.

15. pessimistic cynic here
Fear and smear plus money and a strategically positioned "announcement" (lie) about economy or terror apprehension made possible ONLY by illegal wiretapping will be VERY hard to combat.

If only we could clone Olbermann......
