Check out Google Maps
Edited on Wed Sep-13-06 09:14 AM by ck4829
Apparently several Eastern European countries don't have any roads, train tracks, or even cities for that matter.

5. i believe it was january 2006 when they added
Edited on Wed Sep-13-06 09:22 AM by habitual
most current maps that have roads (in europe) and also the extra 2 levels of zoom that they didn't used to have prior to Jan.2006.

I remember so well because at the time i was building the map site joemap.com that uses their technology.

Edit to add 'in europe'

4. Google Earth has it.
Dunno why Google Maps doesn't. Probably some weird licensing agreement with whoever's providing the map data.

6. Or they don't see profit or need to include those roads in the maps
Granted, I know my way around Eastern Europe...

7. I checked it out the other day and here where I live
the focus used to be so I could see my lawnmower in the pic, now barely recognize my house. I am about 4 miles upwind of a pretty good sized industrial park and maybe that is why the focus is so bad now I don't know:shrug:
Anyways I just removed it from my computer again.
