People, let's face it--none of the "reasons" Bush gives to justify torture make even the most basic sort of logical sense. They why is he doing it? *For its own sake*. He *wants* to torture people. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he gets off watching the pictures and video of it, much as Hitler watched the torture and executions of the July 20 conspirators. Folks--this is one sick fuck, and I think that someday, both the torture--and even the decision to invade Iraq at all--are going to be better explained by psychiatrists than historians...
