OH GOD! Another primary funny!!!!
They're talking about the NY primary on Hardball, and they gave the stats from the last poll on the race between Hillary and Tasini.

The poll was Clinton 85% Tasini 9%

I'm sorry if you don't find the humor in this, but when I heard that, I almost fell out of my chair laughing!!!!

It sounds almost as bad as the split between the parties in CT!

1. Funny? Not to me!
Yeah, but Tasini was for bringing the troops home immediately and impeaching the top two Repukes. instead we we'll be stuck with .....hillary

2. I'm sorry if I offended you. I just find such WIDE gaps to be
funny because it really proves there wasn't any real contest at all.

5. It's OK
Why couldn't New York do what Connecticut did? Is the Clinton machine that powerful?

(I can't say much, LA has a Repuke and a DINO!)

8. Tasini would vote the way most
progressives want. If you look at the comparison of what their views are it is very clear that Hillary is not a progressive.
Moveon did a poll and neither candidate got the required 66% so they did not back either one.
Much as I do not like Hillary, Hillary is no Leiberman. She has been speaking out against this administration and her voting record is good. The problem I have with her is that she is not a leader, she will not risk any political capital on us and by us I mean the people of NY.

There are quite a few Tasini signs up here and there are alot of people that I know of that are voting for him in the primary to send her a message so the final vote could be higher than 9%. From the canvassing we have been doing there are alot of people (R, I, D) who are going to definitely voting for Spitzer but cringe when you mention Hillary. I don't see how she could carry the presidential vote in '08 if her own state feels like that.

3. Hilarious...
The saddest thing I have seen you post, I am disappointed. I guess we find our amusement in different places, I personally find nothing remotely funny about car wrecks or HERC.

That is hilarious!
He was foolish to think he could defeat Hillary anyway.

6. Guess what?
I voted for him. I also voted for Sean Patrick Maloney, and for Suozzi. Do you have some kind of issue with that? The incumbents and the entrenched need to be sent a message. We're watching, and we're not happy.

What's so funny about that?

7. Of course not. Why would I have a problem with you choosing
who you want to vote for? That's what you should do!

9. Uh-huh, but yet you think it's laugh-worthy
because the challengers are so far behind.

<Shrug> Whatever. Those of us voting for the challengers are trying to send a message.

12. Look, I have no problem with any candidate being challenged.
I actually think they all should be! What I find to be funny is that the challenger was apparently such a missmatch.

I loved the Lamont/Leiberman contest! I'd like to see many more like it! But if you know you have to face a popular candidate, we need to find closer matched candidates. That's all.

It would be like ME deciding to run for Mayor of our small town. I may have good ideas and good intentions, but I'm not a politician, and I'd be lucky if I got 1% of the vote!

what I heard on the program.
