Actor James Wood was on Jay Leno last night.
Wood said that he did not know why the Muslims wanted to hurt us. The way he put it was that if we surrendered, how could we appease them. The answer is simple; provide the Palestinians with a place to live without fear of having their home destroyed by a bulldozer. I do not understand why people do not understand the basic problem in the Middle East. The Palestinians have been kicked out of their homes where they have lived for thousands of years. The rest of the Muslim world is sympathetic to their cause. We Christians would do the same for fellow Christians.

2. yeah, and supposedly Woods has one of the highest IQ's in Hollywood
although you'd never know it from simplistic statements like the one above.

It's sad, too, cause I think James Woods is a great actor. :-(

3. There has been war between Christians and Muslims for 1000 years....
Remember the Crusades?

The problem is religion.

5. James Who
There's a lot of things that James Woods doesn't understand. Besides, who in the hell gives a dam about what he thinks. I don't care what church you go to as long as some phony bastard isn't getting rich off of the easily led people.
I just finished reading a book on the construction of a Muslim Church and it blew me away how every inch of their building has a purpose and is for the people and the whole town is built around the church. We were like that once, look what we have now. They can't build a church with out provisions for the TV cameras. Does God need a TV to see his people, I think not. He sees these phony people and I know he has a surprise for each one of them.

6. What's wrong with what Woods suggested?
"Provide the Palestinians with a place to live without fear of having their home destroyed by a bulldozer."

Are you saying that they should be provided with a place to live WITH the fear of having their homes destroyed by bulldozers?

7. Woods did not suggest anything, I am the one who made the
suggestion. A friend of mine once commented that if two simple guys like us could figure it out, why cannot other people.

8. "why cannot other people"
Maybe because they're asking the wrong questions?

Maybe because they haven't the ability to empathize?

9. It's wrong because your little chat didn't include the monied interests

Maybe if you had oil barons and defense contractors and Neoconservatives sitting at your table, you'd come out with a far more convoluted solution, and convoluted solutions seem to dominate the international arena nowadays. Like invading Iraq even though Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11.

10. I couldn't believe how moronic he is
talking about going through Iowa and saying to his brother how, the terrorists don't want to invade, they just want us all to die. And that is his understanding of the situation.

12. he spoke as one who thinks *'s a great leader
and came across as bigoted and narrowminded. I was disapointed to hear his ignorance and predjuce.
If he really wanted to know why people could feel so desperate and fanatical that flying planefulls of people to their death, he can find out pretty easily- he doesn't WANT to know- because that would make 'us' no so lilly white and innocent in what we have done to those we wield power over and manipulate for our own gain-

Willful ignorance- there is no excuse for it- denial kills

13. Woods proved last night he is clinically insane.
But that term could be applied to a lot of people who have drunk the Kool-Aid and fallen for what this administration has done.
