When pressed, they'll just deny the obvious in increasingly loud terms, believing that repeating something enough times makes it so. After awhile, when their repeated denials are still not believed, they get angry and throw a tantrum.

Simple verb confusion - explain/ exploit ... it's just something he knows he is supposed to repeat a lot of times, but no one has explained/exploited to him what the difference is between the two terms. Facts and rational vs spin and propoganda are mighty confusing for a man in his position.
