I am a NYer who was in midtown on 9/11 with a straight view to the WTC down 7th Ave. Thankfully no one in my personal circle was lost, but parents of friends and neighbors were killed. Besides that, NY is my home. There are at least 2 posts here that are so disturbing and disgusting that I can't believe they still stand and it shows just how disgusting some people can be.
First the 9/11 lights are Nazi imagery. Then the poster writes "What have we become? Well not fucking Nazi's you sick bastard. NY'ers like those lights. They are only up for 1 night a year now. But go ahead and shit on 2980+ graves.

There's plenty of no sympathy and go f*** yourself posts. It's just wrong. No one deserves to suffer the way some of the recovery workers have suffered.
