ABC - "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal" - Anti-Kerry Film
Edited on Tue Sep-12-06 02:43 AM by taquinas101
This is starting to be an election year habit for ABC. Remember in the month prior to the election when over 60 ABC affiliates that were run by Sinclair Broadcasting Group ran an Anti-Kerry hit piece - "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal." Now, on the eve of a tightly contested election, they again do the same thing and politicize 9/11 of all events. This is just one freakin free campaign freebie for the Republicans after another.

This is just absolutely pathetic, and it makes me fear for our democracy, when you have entire networks bending over backwards to rationalize the failures of Republican government and try to convince Americans that the eight years of peace and prosperity that we enjoyed with a Democractic President never took place.

If the major media (Fox and ABC) fails to hold our government or corporations accountable, who can we rely on to hold major media accountable for this failure.

1. who said the goal of abc and fox was to hold the
government accountable?

i think the case for fox is obvious.

and abc? well two election cycles and two film projects put out based on lies.

abc has a goal here -- an intention.

and the goal is -- to help republicans create and maintain a permanent conservative republican majority and to create and shape an appropriate citizenry for that majority to rule.

2. 9-11, The Path to Fascism (and how the corporate media is working to MAKE
it happen.)

6. Am I The Only One To See The Bias?
My point with my original post is that with the original stunt regarding the Anti-Kerry hit piece by ABC is that its bias should obvious and well-known. If the Kerry piece did not clue the average American in, the Republican intergration of the Path to 9/11 into their election strategies should also clue them in.

Its kind of like debating global warming with the Bush administration and creationism in school districts throughout the United States. I can't believe that we still debating the whether or not major networks are biased towards the Bush administration, let alone whether there is any liberal bias.

7. We've been posting about it here since they outed their bias during 2000

campaign, then ramped it up post 9-11.

After 2004 election coverage and the absence of coverage for Downing Street Memos, most of us at DU are fully cognizant of the GOP control of most media.

MediaMatters is supported by many DUers. And we look forward to more people joining as activists working to expose the media bias.

8. I Meant Rhetorically, This Is The Freakin Choir That I'm . . .
preaching to. My comment is directed to the average non-DU posting American. The reason why I post here is the frustration that we still debating some of these things in the mainstream media. The mainstream media these days is only a few steps removed from your typical freeper talk radio blowhard.

In the UK, the English now get it, and are dumping Blair for cozing up to the Bush administration. Unfortunately, it seems that mainstream media outlets are just overly invested in the current administation. Where's the investigative reporting regarding who at ABC has made the decisions to run the Anti-Kerry films, as well as to portray 9/11 as occurring on Clinton's watch?

Its kind of like the Passion of the Christ and all the denials that it was motivated by anti-semetism, then Mel Gibson has his little Malibu moment. Is there going to be any investigation or do we just have to wait until some idiot freeper media exec driving drunk through Malibu spills the beans.

9. The corpmedia does need a fullscale investigation. Full exposure.
It's been the battlecry for some of us, and by repeating our charges everyday at every opportunity, we hope it begins to sink in to the general public.

3. The anti-Clinton book industry that flourished since 1993 should have
been stopped. People thought they were just like swarming mosquitoes, pesky but not dangerous.

4. GE, ABC and Disney CEOs know what is best for you.
They have made billions. They think their wealth entitles them to control our government. The bushes will let them control it. The Democratic party wont (well not much anyway). They think they are special because they were able to accumulate so much wealth on the backs of a once thriving American middle class. They think of themselves as our masters and can't stand the thought that we might have as much to say about the future of our country as they. So if this propaganda doesn't work, they will just have to go back to rigging elections.

5. They will fail to hold the admnistration accountable
because too many of America's executives will sell their soul and this country for the idea of a promise it might put one more dollar in their pocket. America's worst enemy is within.

10. The Entire M$M are Corporate Whores who think We the People are
IDIOTS! I feel insulted every time I turn on Headline News to hear giggling News Models spewing inane antidotes instead of True Investigative Journalism.

All of the Large Media Outlet save for some bright spots in the "Print Media" have SOLD OUT to the Mega-Corporate Agenda and The Military Industrial Complex. The Rulers Needs are manipulated to be "Our Needs."

Newsflash M$M Corporate Whores: The Propaganda and Disinformation is no longer working. This one trick Pro-Warmongering pony ride is OVER! :puke:
