I attended the dedication of the Arizona 9-11 Memorial this morning. It was
one of the most affecting experiences I have ever witnessed. There were literally hundreds of bagpipe brigades from both the police and firefighters. The Governor and the nine -eleven families spoke. All branches of the military were represented. Lori Piestewa's family was present. The wife of Gary Bird spoke as did others and the brother of a man who died in the Pentagon sang a song he wrote for his brother and for us. My husband, who seemed to be the only candidate present,( other than the Dem AG and the Governor) had tears streaming down his face.We were interviewed on video by a filmmaker who says we will be permanently on display in NY's 9-11 Museum.I was honored to be asked. My feelings were hard to control but I said the only good that had come from this day was that the tragedy had united America and the world and for an instant we were all New Yorkers. I prayed that one day we would be able to recapture that feeling of unity again not only with our nation but with the world. And I prayed that a new administration would lead us there. I felt I did well as my emotions were torn between rage and sorrow.I cannot help but believe that is the person who claims the Presidency had jut read his PDB, "Bin Laden to attack US in Midtown Manhattan" this event would NOT have transpired.I am angry that his sloth and neglect forever changed us and we cannot regain our innocence.God bless us all and may our future be peace.I do not want to have to experience this anger and disgust forever. And as a footnote I add, I am a New Yorker, I was born, raised and educated in NY, who moved to Arizona but I will always consider myself a New Yorker no matter how much I love Arizona.

1. Thank you for your review, saracat. As a woman who lives
in TX but is a fellow NYer, I hear you. My heart did many flips on 9/11, and I was on vacation, so it was really strange.
