3. there was a terrific editorial cartoon on this, right after the attacks

It showed a bookshelf with a copy of "The End of History", then a smouldering model of the WTC, and on the other side of it, a volume entitled "History Part II". I can't remember the artist's name, and I haven't been able to find it online.
