More Blatant Bullshit from John Yoo
Direct quote:
"We are used to a peacetime system in which Congress enacts the laws, the president enforces them, and the courts interpret them. In wartime, the gravity shifts to the executive branch.''

1. No it doesn't Mr. Yoo
But you'll find that out soon enough, and have an excellent opportunity at a war crimes trial to explain yourself and your demented view of the world. I hope you enjoy a nice, long incarceration.

"No, I like the multi-Constitution idea. Maybe we could color code them like the terror scale. The blue Constiution is for peace time all the way up to Red for Armageddon. That would put us at what, yellow? That gives us two more Constitutional steps before imminent Armageddon. Put in that perspective, I feel better already."

10. There are some very specific things that happen,
constitutionally, when this nation goes from peace to war, and, although the founders were very intelligent and well informed, their language did not include notions gravity, or even Isaac Newton. This Yoo rascal is one of the shi*heads who fomented this dark chapter of American history.

I think I trust Benjamin Franklin and any of the rest far more than this questionable source of neoclown bullshit.

11. There are actually 4 branches of government...
Legislative
Judicial
Executive

The People - and we are the only ones in this equation who should have more power than the others, which are equal to each other, no matter what.

Astutely said by my otherwise neutral, just give me my paycheck, husband. Who has become hopping mad.

21. He's not all wrong
The issue is, is this wartime? WWII was wartime, this is nothing of the sort. Ask your local conservative; on this we agree, this is not a war, just a powergrab by a desperate fascist.

Since they haven't, I believe that Mr. Yoo's point is entirely moot.
