BMaher show last Fri: why did he only mention planted explosives
when he said 30+% Americans think bushco behind 9-11??????

(This may have already been discussed; I've been away from the internet for about 5 weeks.)

This percentage was mentioned in the context of how many Americans don't know anything; they also said ca 30+% believe Saddam was behind 9-11.

The guests were the editor of Salon, PJO'Rourke, and some musician.

In general the show was pretty good, but there just HAD to be this slam vs those who do not accept the government's story line.

1. Maher Is A Windbag
He "pretends" to be a liberal, yet he always has a kind word for our King, and always makes an effort to put at least 1 repub on each show, and then proceeds to let that repub talk over the other guests, and monopolize the time.

I have given up watching his show. Much rather tune into Jon Stewart or Colbert.

4. I'm Not Alone...
There was a post here a couple of weeks ago, after the first show of the season, where lots of people said the same thing I just did.

Maher has complimented george on several occasions, saying that he had the right idea going into Iraq. He has even stated that he does not think it was a mistake, even given the LIES told, but that it was handled improperly.

The episode with Max Cleland, also had Hitchens, and he gave OBVIOUS preference to letting Hitchens monopolize the speaking time, and Cleland got little in.

He even chastised the audience for booing Hitchens, and then said nothing when Hitchens gave the audience the finger and made a deragatory comment.

Don't forget, he's the guy who stood by his Nader vote in '00, even though Nader may have partly caused Gore to lose.

6. He doesn't pretend to be a liberal, and he isn't one. He's a Libertarian
and says so.

Anyone thinking he's a Liberal hasn't been paying attention.

That said, I don't agree with everything he says and does(How Could I?) but I still watch.

2. I thought the show was great last Friday.
And I have a new found respect for Benjamin Netanyahu after seeing his interview on the show.
