All over the Bay Area, people wake up to the sights and sounds of October 5th. Banner drops, giant public art, poster lines along commute lanes, flyering busses and trains, radio news, soundtrucks, people are everywhere visible, building the heart and determination to make this truly a day of mass political resistance. Tell all the youth and the communities. Bring signs, banners, music, boom boxes, creative arts supplies, your ideas, your voice. Come to downtown San Francisco early, head for the mass convergence -- or on your way there, pick your spot for creative action in the street, or join those who have planned a sit-in, a worship service, street theater, a rally. The theme and message of October 5th: WE REPUDIATE THE ENTIRE PROGRAM OF THE BUSH REGIME, THE PEOPLE WILL DRIVE THEM OUT AND REVERSE THE DIRECTION THEY HAVE BEEN TAKING THIS COUNTRY AND THE WORLD.

** The color is of the day is The World Can't Wait green. Send your plan and contact info to be included in a schedule of the day to sf@worldcantwait.org

At points during this day, groups of youth will gather to publicly take a pledge to the people of the world: We refuse to take any part in this governments murderous and utterly illegitimate war on the world, and we refuse to give our support to any of the other crimes of the Bush Regime! (***note this pledge wording is not finalized, but you get the idea)

OCTOBER 5 THURSDAY 4PM into the evening: MAJOR MASS CONVERGENCE with prominent speakers, performers, and a dramatic People's Tribunal against George Bush and his entire adminstration on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Trial to be convened in the traditional San Francisco World Can't Wait huge manner. Will the people find the Bush Regime guilty as charged?

OCTOBER 5-6 ALL NIGHT LONG: 'CAMP WAKE THE FOLK UP!' will continue non-stop as a large diverse crowd vigils all night listening to testimony by victims of the Bush Regime, and by those in resistance against it - and their speakers, poetry, songs - broadcast and podcast from the vigil grounds round-the-clock. People are invited from everywhere to come to join this encampment whatever the hour. As the night unfolds, people will talk, debate, and work together on visions and plans for driving out the Bush Regime and reversing the whole direction it has been taking the country and the world.

OCTOBER 6 FRIDAY 8AM: Press Conference and Rally. Greet the new day with a morning rally, reporting on the historic events of the past 24 hours around the country -- and plans for upcoming days as this mass movement looks ahead to its next steps to drive out the Bush Regime.

Denver/Boulder, CO - Also Pending Alb, SF and Taos NM -- Hopefully SLC, Utah too will be joining us!, CO

2006-10-05
7:00 p.m.
Likely in 3-state locations or all together online or on a telephone conference call
We just started to organize today. We hope to bring people from 2-3 Western states together in CO.

The thought right now is to bring together member of the Vietnam and all other war vets, along with Code Pink and immigration activists. I'm hoping to connect with students at U of Colorado, DU, Auraria and other institutions of higher learning as well as high schools and other educational institutions in CO and NM (possibly Utah too).

I've contacted some big name bands.

Will work with ALL organizations that have really HAD ENOUGH and are willing to fight for America.

We will first determine that the our diverse coalition is in alignment with the WCW! group's mission and vision of how to accomplish the change of regime in Washington.

If we want to make CO, NM and hopefully UT BLUE states in November, we need to rise up powerfully. The way to do that is through PEOPLE POWER!

We ask you to alert your friends and family about both the need to help organize and participate in this important and urgent day of October 5th.

We also need them to communicate to me NOW! The ideas need to flow now! We need to assign committees and put people to work. Retired and non-working people who have skills, computers and BIG IDEAS... please e-mail me! There is very little time for a major event like the one I'm envisioning.

We WANT participation from everyone with an opinion that it's TIME FOR BUSH TO GO!

Note: we endorse only peaceful protests and do not support violence in any way.

We will unleash a "tsunami" of peaceful resistance on October 5th, 2005 toward the take back of both the Senate and the House in November. We'll do what it takes to get the "I don't care" Americans to understand that what goes on in DC impacts their families! We need to help them understand why their VOTE is important and get them out there to do it in November.

HELP!!! HELP!!! Please e-mail me soon! victoria2dc@gmail.com

All Day and Into the Night
The Loop
12 NOON- GRANT PARK (Jackson and Columbus - permit pending)

4:30PM- FEDERAL PLAZA (Jackson and Dearborn)

INTO THE NIGHT: GRANT PARK (Jackson and Columbus-permit pending)

DESCRIPTION:

All day and into the night, people will flood downtown Chicago making our determination to drive out this criminal regime known to the world! Nothing about this day will be just your "go through the motions- rally and march" protest-as-usual! Early in the day, students will walk out of school- even shut down whole campuses, people will refuse to go to work and bring their entire families, and converge with thousands in the heart of downtown at GRANT PARK. Here we begin a festival of resistance with fiery indictments of the most dangerous force in history, the Bush regime, from voices of conscience from all walks of life.

Then we will step off together and spread this movement throughout the Loop, our collective voices reverberating off the surrounding buildings and rising up to the sky! Hundreds of thousands of people downtown will be wondering what will happen that day and as our voices fill the air, they will rush to the windows and see that WE ARE WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR; WE ARE TRULY MAKING RESISTANCE IRRESISTIBLE! We'll be spreading the word to many more - distributing literature and materials that will make their way into workplaces, shopping centers, and restaurants; calling on everyone to join us after work as we make known our aim to drive out this regime throughout downtown Chicago including right at the Federal Building!

Many thousands more will join us here and will continue with us as we step off and back to Grant Park where we will continue the festival with musical and theatrical performances, and the biggest and baddest open-mic you've ever seen in your life! And all the way into the night, we'll be strategizing on where to go from here to fulfill our real aim of DRIVING OUT THE BUSH REGIME!

Indianapolis, IN

2006-10-05
All day, starting around 11 and going all night
The steps of the State House and all around town
We will converge on the Indianapolis State House and demand that our agenda be taken seriously. At the same time we will be coordinating efforts all around town to engulf the city in our movement. Banner drops, small sit ins, street theater, and media protests will be coordinated and carried out by teams of WCW activists to let the whole town know that even in the conservative heartland there is a growing voice of opposition to the fascist agenda of the Bush regime. Students will be walking out of class, adults will be walking off the job, and all around the state, demonstrations will work to make World Can't Wait a house-hold name. In the evening all the Indiana chapters will converge on the State House with us, and we won't leave until we know Indiana is ready for change.

12 noon
Boston Common, permit pending
We will assemble at the Common at noon, as high school and college walk-outs join in from around the area and people of all walks of life interrupt their routines to make a powerful statement: the Bush regime does not represent us and we will not stop until it is driven from power! Imagine one of the most critically-thinking, youthful and vibrant cities in this country coming alive all day and into the night with feet pounding pavement, signs and fists jutting skyward, and chants of: "JOIN US! JOIN US! THE WORLD CAN'T WAIT! DRIIIIIIVE OUT THE BUSH REGIME!" peircing the air, unigorable.

At 1pm, a march (route not yet determined) is being planned that will make noise, spread the word and draw people in as it goes, before returning to the Common in time for a 5pm rally.

The rally starting at 5 will enable people getting off work to attend.

The Common closes at dusk, so at that point we will be leaving and heading to streetcorners in busy parts of the city, to hold up signs, pass out flyers and be a powerful presence all throughout the night, before returning to the Common during the morning rush hour.

Keep checking the website, or email Boston@worldcantwait.org for further updates as more specific plans are developed.
