(VIDEO) Post-9/11 Daily Show. Heartbreaking
http://onegoodmove.org/1gm/1gmarchive/2006/09/nine_eleven.html

There was a video showing the Moment of Zen where Jon carried a puppy in his arms, but it's gone now :(

2. I never saw this at the time
Stewart seems to be genuinely struggling. You were right. It is heartbreaking.

4. That was rough.
It's sad that the leadership of this country had the opportunity to unite the people of the US -- and the world! -- and chose a different path.

3. Here's the entire show, which should have the moment of zen at the end
My connection's going to slow to try & download to check, but I'm pretty sure I remember it there.

(The 2nd half of the show is almost entirely old clips (still good though)).

11. Thank you Monkey see
Touching, heart-rending. The puppy came through. I'm thinking Jon used the little guy as a symbol of rebirth. Jon's an extraordinary person. Hard to believe that he could be my son. I'd be proud of him! I surely would.

Just like Jon Stewart. Gawd, he's so adorable. Just wanna love him.

Thanks for posting this. I laughed. I cried. He always makes me smile. Even at a time like that.

8. Remember those first few months?
Where you couldn't even make fun of the president?

I mean, literally, you couldn't make fun of him.

The first person to make fun of George Bush on the air after 9-11 was Jon Stewart, when he giggled at Bush for dress in this outfit:

14. Kick - 'cause I started to tear up
when I viewed this at work, and had to walk into the bathroom so no one would see. I didn't think I'd cry today, but I did.
