Rare Kudos for Tweety's courage today
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 12:42 PM by Armstead
Have MSNBC on the TV on in the background.

Tweety is on. Instead of just going along with the 9-11 hype, he is Blasting Bush with both guns blazing for fucking up by going into Iraq.

He's being very passionate, saying things like "People in the Middle East see the US killing Muslims every damn day, and they don't like it! That's fueling terrorism and undercutting anything else we might be doing to actually stop terrorism." (Slightly paraphrased but very close.)

If only he were consistent like this, Tweety could be great.

But whatever otehr sins he may commit, kudois for his courage (yes) in breaking through the filter today, and telling the damn truth about the last five years.

7. Maybe but I hope not
I'm as critical of Tweeety as anyone.

But on a day when most of the pundits are giving Bush a pass and trying to avoid "politics," he deserves credit for not going along with the program.

6. I'll give him kudos too. I just readthe post here about Eric Alterman
being fired from MSNBC after 10 years. Just maybe we are being alittle too hard on the show hosts there andletting the real vilans GE/NBC off the hook?

I can't blameanybody for trying to keep their job!

14. Yes, but every bit helps
Normally I would have expected to go along with the "kid gloves" that most people have today. Perhaps mention Iraq in passing, but not much else.

All I know it was goodto see someone on this day of anniversary 9-11 wallowing and soft pedaling to hear someone being rude enough to actually tell the truth about how the US Screwed the Pooch after 9-11.

9. he said americans now know Iraq was what they wanted to do pre 9/11
and had nothing to do with 9/11 or terrorism. whoa.

it was a refreshing because whoever that chick was, she was parsing poll results to sound very WH friendly..americans feel safer... blah blah, then tweety asked her to add those who don't feel safer to those who feel LESS safe and pointed out that that's the majority! typical new-reader, can't understand the script she's given.

23. He's more of a centrist shill than a wingnut
He's not really a shill for the right wing. He's more a defender of the "conventional wisdom" of the Beltway.

Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 12:47 PM by symbolman
he gets cotton mouth, doesn't make suspension bridges attached to the guest from the corners of his mouth.. like a Rottwieller

When he's back on the meds he's more "fluid" ..

Never seen someone spit so much -- NEVER let that man NEAR the salad bar :)

30. I love it when he spits on the right wingers
wish he had the same body slobbers as those aliens and to the same effect, that it would eat through steel and flesh would be smoke and steam :)

He sounds like he's from another planet at times..

19. Tweety Is Legitimately Afraid That We Will Invade Iran
And he knows that the U.S. will need a draft in order to do it. His children are prime draft age. These wealthy boomers don't care about anything until their own children's necks are on the line.

26. Did you see him spin that poll the anchor mentioned back
in the right direction?

The question was "Are we safer?" and the anchor said

74% of the respondents say they are safer or "about as safe". The third option on the poll was "Less safe"

Safer: 44%
About as safe: 32%
Less Safe: 24%

The anchor combined the top two figures and Tweety corrected her by saying if you combine the "About as safe" and "Less safe", you get a majority that believes that we are not safer or are less safe.

31. We need to remember that he supports Giuliani and Bernie Kerik
(the Crook from NY with Nanny & Real Estate problems) was Tweety's choice to "kick butt" in Iraq when things started to fall apart. Tweety likes "tough guys" and now that he sees his favorite "cod piece" going down in the polls he's hawking for his second "flame" Giuliani.

He's very duplicitous and works only for himself. Noron O'Donnel and Tweety make a quite a pair when they laugh hysterically together at their own private jokes whenever a Dem appears on his show. :-(
