Help! Did "Path to 9/11" show Atta boarding American Airlines
in Boston last night? I want to send an "I'm scared the fly AA because of their not stopping Atta" letter but want to be sure that segment has been shown.

But...can't stomach watching it because Disney has robbed me of most of my favorite shows as I shall NEVER watch ABC or any Disney related entertainment media again. UNLESS, the Disney board fires ALL executives linked to this debacle.

3. The other scene that needs to be shown are the charter flights...
....arranged by the Bush Administration to get the Saudi Royal Family and the Bin Laden family out of the U.S.A. and safely back to Saudi Arabian on Sept 11-12, 2001 when all other flights were grounded.

DAY OF INFAMY 2001
Bin Ladens allowed out of U.S. after 9-11
Former White House official confirms operation said to be rumor

In the immediate aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks while U.S. airspace was restricted, planes sanctioned by the Bush administration flew about the country gathering some 140 high-ranking Saudi Arabians – including several relatives of al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden – who were then spirited out of the country within a week of the terror, according to a senior official.

While the Saudis have long denied involvement in the massacre that claimed the lives of some 3,000 people, 15 of the 19 hijackers came from the kingdom.

Former White House counter-terrorism chief Richard Clarke described the Saudi exodus in an interview for the current issue of Vanity Fair on newsstands today. Clarke, who left the White House in February, lends confirmation to reports of the evacuation which first surfaced in September 2001, but have been dispelled as rumor and urban legend.

Citing Clarke, the magazine reports that within a week of the hijackings private planes picked up individuals from 10 cities, including Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Houston and Boston. Aviation officials complained the flights took place before the government had lifted flight restrictions for the general public.

5. You start off accurate and verge into inaccuracy.
Apparently the Sa'udis were moved to a central location before the flight restrictions were lifted. However, they left the country only *after* the flight restrictions were lifted.

Even Clarke says the FBI signed off on their leaving.

4. AA better look into a lawsuit.
Hey, DUers, I didn't watch the mockudrama, but if the opening showed Atta boarding the flight at BOS, he would be dead. Atta boarded in Portland, Maine. Read this from a a daily kos story.

Disney/ABC's Conservative 9/11 Fan Fiction Also Defames American
Airlines Hotlist
by Hunter

Uh-oh. Disney may have to do more editing, according to AMERICAblog's
John Aravosis:

As I first noted yesterday, I have the entire "Path to 9/11" video.
Andone of the very first scenes makes it explicitly clear that
AmericanAirlines had Mohammad Atta in its grasp, warning lights flashing
on thecomputer screen, yet the airline simply blew off the threat and
helpedAtta kill 3,000 Americans.

Unfortunately, it's a total lie.

Here's what the "Path to 9/11" claims American Airlines did on
themorning of September 11. According to Disney/ABC, American Airlines
hadMohammad Atta at its ticket counter and a warning came up on the
screenwhen he tried to check in. The AA employee called a supervisor who
kindof shrugged and said, blithely, just let him through. The
firstemployee, shocked, turned to her supervisor and said, shouldn't
wesearch him? The American Airlines supervisor responds, nah, just
holdhis luggage until he boards the plane. The scene is clearly intended
tomake American Airlines look negligent.

Only problem? It never happened.

First off, Disney/ABC got the airport wrong. The warning forMohammad
Atta's ticket popped up in Portland, Maine, not at BostonLogan as the tv
show claims (this is on page 1 of the September 11Commission report).

Second, the security rules at the time said nothing about searchinga
passenger who has a "warning" pop up, they only required that thebags be
held until the passenger boarded. The Disney/ABC tv show, onthe other
hand, clearly tries to imply that American Airlines violatedthe security
rules in letting Atta go. This simply isn't true. (This isalso on page 1
of the report.)

But most importantly, Disney/ABC implicated the wrong airline.

The Portland, Maine flight in question was a U.S. Airways flight.
American Airlines didn't have squat to do with it -- and the U.S.
Airways team didn't violate the rules at all, much less through
negligence, as the 9/11 Commission report made clear.

Yeah, ABC, after slandering the Washington Post, a passel of government
officials, and now American Airlines because the "fictionalized" drama
makes events up wholesale, distorts others, and fails even the most
cursory attempts at fact checking, I can certainly see why you're so
keen on saving this piece of crap.
