"Terror-Proof" Planes
Heard this story this morning on NPR and found a link that outlines the expected upgrades to planes within a couple years. I really can't believe all of this, especially the closed circuit cameras in the passenger section that can transmit the signal back to the ground . . . It seems that flying now includes a complete waiving of rights of free speech and privacy. I can't help but think that the push to remove rights in some broad-based system that many people use (such as public air travel) is just a test for a broader application as soon as these policies are simply accepted. I wish I knew how to fight this, but I don't think that it really matters who is holding public office anymore. You are going to get this horse crap coming down the pike whether democrats or republicans are in office now, imo. A politician is just that, most are corrupt to some extent (on both sides of the fence, I am sorry to say), and all of them will do anything to cover their collective asses, including removing your privacy to show themselves as proactive against 'terror.'

2. Instead of going to the root of the problem
as in, "Why might Arabs want to attack the US instead of Norway", and ignoring the media lies which have filled in so conveniently in the past:

1) They're religious whackos!
2) They hate us for our freedoms!
3) They hate us for our decadent way of life!

let's push the solution farther down the line, slap another Band-Aid on that spurting carotid artery, and call it a day. Next: every passenger gets a parachute!

3. band-aid: the perfect analogy
we, as a culture, are all about fighting symptoms instead of the cause. People laugh at the idea of trying to prevent disease through diet, lifestyle, etc. and instead wait until there is a problem to "fix" with the latest drugs.

Yes, sometimes it is absolutely necessary to defeat the symptoms, but it is foolish to ignore the root causes.

4. Included in this plan . . .
. . . is having all passengers disrobe at the boarding gate and fly to their destination totally naked.
