In NY City in Times Square stands a telescreen that runs advertisements. Does anyone on DU see any resources anywhere in either Washington DC, NY City, Los Angeles, Chicago or any large city where we can post messages and have them shown on a large electric telescreen, or perhaps sometime in the future DU could raise money to either rent space or to build one.

Imagine the political statements we could make. Perhpas the Democratic party could construct one.

The shortest lease of sign space is 6 months, according to Paul Collins, operations manager for Sherwood. Sounds expensive!

Smaller urban areas (Hartford is one) are erecting those new electronic billboards, and they seem to be affordable to local advertisers, so they're probably a more realistic venue.
