I don't remember what kinds of rememberances were held on the First Anniversary of 9/11. Or the Second Anniversary. Or the Third Anniversary. Or the Fourth Anniversary.
WHY, oh WHY is this THE year to REMEMBER? Could it poosibly be the mid-term elections? The Third Anniversary would have been during the 2004 Presidential Election. I truthfully don't remember the bullshit meter being this high. I do remember the "Terra Alerts" being raised for the First Anniversary, but that is about it.
Help anyone?

3. The first anniversary... |
|
...they read all the names of the victims at ground zero and replayed the footage of the attacks all day long.
I remember my nephew came home from school that day (the first anniversary) looked at the tv and asked, "Is that building still burning?"
I refuse to watch anything to do with 9/11 no matter what time of year it's on. I lived through it once - don't need to do it again.

something to do with it.
Still, anniversaries divisible by 5 or 10 do tend to get extra attention.
It's not all that bad. It's a good opportunity for us to explain to the American voters how we can do it better.
