Did Bush think Osama was coming after him on 9/11?
Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 12:40 AM by kentuck
After all, he had killed Masoud, the NA leader a couple of days earlier. As someone posted earlier, he had gone to Florida rather unexpectedly and reportedly had SAM missiles on the top of his hotel?? Then when the Pentagon was hit, he got on a plane and flew to a hole in the ground over in Nebraska. He was rather late showing up at the scene of WTC bombing. I think Clinton made it there before he did? Was he running because he was scared that Osama was coming after him?? Sometimes my conspiratorial mind wanders...and wonders...

2. personally, i think cheney told him to get lost
i think cheney wanted to run the show and didn't want the potus mucking things up for him. so cheney his gang made up some cock and bull story to make shrub wet his pants and probably drink himself silly, so shrub would stay in hiding for several days while cheney ran the show.

plus, i think cheney wanted to make sure it was successful. that doesn't mean mihop or even lihop necessarily, but at a minimum, i think he instantly recognized the political opportunity if the disaster played out "properly".

3. Supposedly there was a threat against AF1, wasn't there?
I'd like to know what kind of threat. That's never been explained as far as I know. And I can't think of one that's plausible.

I'm really skeptical about the whole idea that Bush** was in any danger, specifically because he sat like a lump on a log for over 10 minutes after being told the country was under attack, then took the time to glad hand teachers and so forth, and coo over the kids, and get with his people before making that short statement from the school library (with the kids gathered all around him).

4. Well there was Bush's bunny hopping.
He scampered around the country making us all think maybe a nuke war was about to happen. Then when the administration figured out how yellow Bush looked, they made up a story about a "credible threat" to Junior. Later the White House was allowed to simply distance themselves from that lie.

6. that is the contradiction on the whole mess
there are so many questions that need to be answered, that makes no since with an easy answer like you say. but then on the other hand with the information you state, it does feel that way
