4. I admit I watched it ... because of John O'Neill
I am very into John O'Neill, and have waited for five long years for someone in the mainstream media to even mention his name. He was probably one of the most important fallen heroes of September 11, and yet the MSM has kept his story completely in the dark, buried and hidden (his story should have been right up there with "Let's Roll!" or whatever).

Thought it was a poorly made movie. I don't get excited about eclectic camera angles and bad lighting. All defamatory scenes seemed to be there. Bunch of crap that Freepers couldn't follow (too many subtitles and it was hard for them to keep the names and timeline straight).

I watched it because it was about John O'Neill. Everyone should know about John O'Neill.

3. It's one thing to look at individual clips of it

(link) But seeing all those jerky disjointed shots and amaeturish dialouge in a steady stream with no commercials--well, I didn't have to watch MUCH of the movie to figure out that it was poorly made! I strongly suspect there will be BIG dip in the ratings for Monday's show. So I guess the joke's on them: they were so busy trying to make it controversial, they forgot to make it viewable!

6. How do I get the stink of that movie
out of my house? Febreze? I think there should be a class action lawsuit against ABC for putting on filth like that. It was so jerky that I wouldn't be surprised to hear someone had an epileptic seizure from it.

5. I hated the style - every made-for-TV cliche, MTV rapid cuts, hand-held
cameras in some scenes, even the stupid "blue wash" that's used in so many commercials now. It's not only "docutainment", it's TV.

7. I've got to say it!
Neocons can not make movies. Period.

The entertainment industry does very well with
Democrats running the show!

Yeah, I'm biased, and I admit it!

8. I literally...felt disoriented...
...and like I had motion sickness. My husband and I both commented
on how jerky and ridiculous the movie was.

I've seen movies before that attempt to make something look like
a real documentary. This can be done well. TPT911 wasn't done well.

Furthermore, the film has been publicly recognized for its lies. The
whole "ohhhhh...look at this film...it looks so much like a reallll
documentary" just added more farce to the mix. Seriously. The film
went way out of its way to look like a documentary. However, all of
the publicity and the long, Star-Wars-length, written disclaimer--
just added to the absurdity.

The film had that "Lifetime Television" ache to it. I expected
Patty Duke or Vallerie Bertenelli to enter stage left any minute.

Whoever initially plotted this thing out and funded this as part of
some grand design to persuade the sheep---is weeping with their teddy bear
tonight (Be kind to teddy, Karl).

it was totally fucking lame. It's one thing to achieve a realism effect by employing a shaky camera this camera was over jittery -- it was unnatural in every way. It was rookie.

13. Let's put it this way..........
if this is the Reich-Wing's best effort at "infiltrating" Hollywood with good, moral, christian film makers, if failed. Badly. I watched perhaps 30 minutes of it but from what I saw it was the most disjointed, non-linear story line ever with cinematography so poor it looked as if a child had filmed it. Poorly made, poorly edited.......just plain poor.

There will be no Emmy Awards for this piece of lint, rest assured.

15. I'm glad I watched it.
Really, really, bad movie. Really bad. As if the director wanted all the attention. Like most fundie movies, the dialogue is so on the nose it is cheesy: this is what I want you to think, what you have to think!

The real goal seems to be an attack on the Bill of Rights, and if anything got through to any viewers who continued suffering the dizzying camera movements, it would be that.

The ONLY redeeming quality was the locations. They were kind of interesting.

All in all, a non-event even to those who stuck with it.

C-, they actually shot it from a 'syriana shoot' perspective...
but it's only TV, i'm sure the director had fun trying to rise above his sordid little project

Edited on Mon Sep-11-06 10:11 AM by Marie26
Beyond even the political implications, it was just a horrible movie. Unwatchable. Incoherent dialogue, nauseating camera shots, disjointed editing, indistinguishable characters. You can just tell that this movie was not made by real filmmakers. I can't even get mad at it, cause I doubt anyone paid any real attention to it.

Then half another person's face. While the camera's moving all around aimlessly.

Man, these jackasses are amateurs. Worse even than most home movies made with a first-time camcorder by someone with an obsession with the zoom buttons.

I could only watch for a few minutes before switching back to Ted Koppel.
