Fear TV, Fearles TV, The World Dance Championships and a silent monkey...
...Tonight I found my TV to be intriguing..

...not so much in the content of what was showing...

...but in the programming itself...

on Discovery "Koppel on Discovery" this was a discussion about how the government uses times of war to make adjustments to civil liberties - a good debate was included.

on ABC "Path to 9/11" this was a fictionalized account of recent terrorist activities and how the government has fucked everything up... the film was sensationalist and fear-mongering as well as race hating.

on my local PBS affiliate... there was a biography that covered the life of Ed Murrow the man who single-handedly called out the motherfucking fear-mongers.

on CBS 60 minutes covered the EPA's denial of protection to service workers at Ground Zero and the effects that working at the site has had on their health (hint: the effects were bad).

also on CBS... a decent documentary on the firefighters including real 9/11 footage. the documentary has lot's of f-words and even shows one firefighter puking in a trash can... pretty gritty stuff.

there was also a broadcast of the world dance championships

Oh, we also got the monkey to shut the fuck up for once: http://www.ft.com/cms/s/18975b08-4101-11db-827f-0000779e2340.html
