Who were the backers to PT 9/11?
and, how did ABC show it without advertising? I'm assuming "somebody" paid!

2. Don't know
But given the Clinton hating, Scaife would be at the top of my list.

5. It seems it's an ABC funded production. NBC was going to produce a 9/11
miniseries but dropped it due to costs, estimated revenue loss and ABC's competing project. (Ron Howard & Brian Glazer were to produce.) http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117925208?categoryid=14&cs=1

Apparently this sort of project, with possible controversy attached, is not a big revenue/advertiser grabber. Apparently NBC figured it would lose about $1 billion on up front revenue in addition to production costs. And it sounds like ABC wasn't having much luck getting sponsorship, even Disney if one can imagine that. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117949477?categoryid=14&cs=1 Imagine, "And now we return to Path to 9/11, brought to you by Pirates of the Carribean 2, out in DVD on December 5!" Or, "Head On, apply directly to the forehead! is proud to sponsor Path to 9/11. Have a day when nothing goes right and your head is pounding? Try Head On, apply directly to the forehead!" (In bad taste of course, but ABC has jumped the shark bigtime on this mess.)

6. Thank you for finding these links!
I've just finishing reading the second article but it still doesn't say who paid. I guess I'll watch tonight as to who the producers are...my heart of hearts says nobody in the "film making" process in this project did it for nada, zip, zero.
