2. I received a renewal for AARP in the mail last week.
I sent them an email stating that I was NOT renewing my membership because they were complicit in getting that stupid Medicare Part D passed! I did get a dumb response where they said we believed at the time it would help the pooest of Americans, and we still this it has.

They're never going to get another penny from this house!!!!!

through AARP and I get my major prescription from Mexico at half the price I would pay on the drug plan.

I'm just a bit before you in having to make that decision, but I no longer trust AARP. When I have to sign up for some plan, I intend to checklots of different options!

We don't have a TV, and I've missed most of the discussion on DU over the past several days. Why is Apple included in the Disney boycott?

9. Steve Jobs is the largest shareholder of ABC/Disney stock.
Dwarfs Eisner, blows Roy out of the park. He has a massive amount of ABC/Disney stock that apparently mystifies whole groups here as far as one owning stock and having say over what goes on in the company they own stock in.

There was no discussion, as it is an extremely unpopular concept here that for some strange reason cannot be fathomed by many.

10. Steve Jobs is on the board of Disney and he makes himself
unavailable to public comment. The only way to register a complaint to him is via snail mail or FAX...no email!

If the Board of Directors of Disney had stepped in or if they now step in and fire all the executives at ABC and Disney responsible for the propaganda, "Path to 9/11," then OK with Apple otherwise...boycott.

12. Agree. If Jobs and the board open their yaps, and make any
movement to diffuse, fire the fuckers for this, give equal rebuttal time to opposing views, or in some way make it possible for airing anything that corrects this, then fine.

Until then, none of the above.

20. Notice Apple is always the No.1 target with this poster
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 11:51 PM by Elwood P Dowd
He is constantly bashing Apple and Apple users on this board. You have to go down to No. 3 on the list before you find ABC.

Al Gore is a close friend with Jobs and an Apple board member. Why doesn't he mention that? And, why does Jobs include Air America on iTunes radio and not Limbaugh or Hannity?

This person has an agenda against Apple.

23. And you have a mental block that...
keeps you from accepting the fact that Steve Jobs is the biggest stockholder in ABC/Disney and this thing will be available free for the download on his video Ipods.

No go after Microsoft. They had a banner ad.

You want to start a countdown like the Enron executive countdown?

Days till ABC/Disney board makes a statement or Jobs says anything?

27. I have an agenda against Apple since I discovered how much
clout Jobs had to stop this.

I was going to buy a new Apple to replace my G4. I went ahead and will buy a PC instead--not a Dell, though, as Michael Dell is a big contributor to the Republicans.
