"I'd vote for a dog over a Republican"

I helped out my Democratic club at a festival on LI. We had many people come by. Most were interested in Suozzi and Dave Mejias (anti-Peter King) material. Those that wanted to talk were pretty fired up. They are sick of Peter King. They feel that he is obnoxious (which he is) and he hasn't gotten the "terrorist money" even with his big mouth.

One woman came by and said she normally splits her ticket "but not this year." She said that we have to do everything we can to get rid of the republicans. She said that she'd "rather vote for a dog than a republican." I couldn't have said it better.
