Hey, the first commercial I've seen connected Ahnold to Chucklenuts

THIS is what the Dems in CA should have been doing all along. They have a clip of Ahnold at a rally saying "We should re-elect George W. Bush" over and over, while a narrator and captions talk about Iraq, gas prices, etc.

I am thrilled to finally see the Dems fighting back. Angelides is a weak candidate--why they picked him I don't know. But he's certainly preferable to der Gropinator.

Anyone else see this commerical?

4. The Ad is Ineffective

Because it has no substance. It merely states "Schwarzenegger endorsed Bush for President." Unfortunately, the Angelides campaign is going nowhere right now. Issuing an ad hominem against Schwarzenegger, with no position statements, campaign positions or substance whatsoever, boils down to nothing more than name-calling.

I'm a yellow dog Democrat, and I've observed California politics for over 40 years (I well remember my dear father's morose reaction when Ronald Reagan destroyed Pat Brown by a million votes in 1966), but this current spot smacks of Pat Brown's ad against Reagan -- Brown is talking to a little kid, and says "Did you know Ronald Reagan was an actor?" The kid says nothing. Brown says "Did you know, an actor killed the President, President Lincoln?"

The ad sucked and old Pat got crushed at the polls. It's looking like the same thing this time.

5. Yeah I just saw that too and was surprised. Arnie's been trying to crawl

away from Bush, like the (R) by his name and previous cheerfest for Bush meant nothing.

Oh and they should make one about his meeting with Ken Lay/Enron/CA electricity crisis. He and Reardon were invited to a deal Lay put on with other "movers and shakers." Ahnie and Reardon were there essentially for a job interview for Gov of CA. The same people who gave us the electricity crisis pushed the recall, blamed Davis for the crisis, and annointed their candidate to "save" the state. Man, I'd love to see that hung around Schwarzie's neck like the albatross it should be.
