Poll question: are you going to watch Path to 9/11?
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 06:11 PM by LSK
I know there are many here who say boycott it and boycott ABC. However, when I argued with Freepers about F9/11, a common argument on my part was "did you see it?" I dont want to be in their position and debate something I have not seen firsthand. Therefore, I am thinking of watching it, to see for myself what this really is about and how bad it is.

As far as boycotting ABC, this will probably be the most ABC I have watched all year. There is nothing on that network for me anyways.

So what say you, are you going to watch it?

3. i have a feeling i might be switching it off

4. I don't pay attention to M$M on a daily basis
but on 9/11 I take care to NOT look at a teevee, newspaper and radio.

I'm tired of 9/11 being used for political gain. Let the people RIP.

5. I'll watch it to stay informed
I will probably have to take an extra toprol first. Seriously. But I f eel like I can't speak about it intelligently if I don't watch it. In fact, I'm taking notes!

13. Me too Granny!
I need to see the lies before I can counter the wingnuts. Same thing with 'An Inconvenient Truth' - but I'm waiting for the DVD to come out.

Funny thing is I haven't watched my copy of 'Fahrenheit 9/11' since the 2004 election. I can't bare to see it again.

6. I thought about watching it so I could debunk it, but
I can't miss the season premieres of Simpsons, American Dad and Family Guy!

Considering NFL is also on, there may be only 5 people in the country that actually watch it. And from what our Brothers and Sisters overseas have said about it, those 5 won't be watching much of it.

7. I plan to watch it so I'll be better able to refute the lies.
But it will be the LAST ABC/Disney show I ever watch! After that I'm joining the Disney boycott.

9. Saw the scene on You Tube. Stilted, REALLY bad writing.
Lots of cutting back and forth to make sure you get the TRUE meaning.

Meanwhile, the Frenchmen's on scene at the WTC on 9/11 documentary with followups is being aired on CBS.

And Inspector Lynley's series V starts on PBS tonight!

11. Not a chance
I'm thinking of setting the tivo to record the shopping channel, just to make a point.

The idea of being able to debate it just because I watched it doesn't make much sense to me. I would be relying on second hand accounts of historical events (to which I was not privy), so using second hand accounts of the show is equally valid.

12. In the UK it's a past event
I watched out of curiousity to see where the lies occured. It's not a particularly well made film . They seem to copied the format of Syriana. Now that is good film - SYRIANA. Had it shipped to me immediately following release on DVD.

A film about 9/11/73, Chile , might have been more appropriate at this time of the year. Eventual resultant death toll there was subsantially higher.

16. Refuse to watch something promoted with lies, containing lies
How do I know it's lies? Because of the way it's advertised. Because the people whom it claims to portray weren't allowed to vet the script.

The TV/newspaper blurb in our Raleigh paper says "it's the how and why".
Bullf*cking$hit.

19. I'll confirm it's airing,
by checking my cable guide, and here to see comments of those stating it's on. Just so that I can include that in my correspondence with Disney Monday, when I cancel our trip there.

But no, I won't watch it.
