Bush plans "CRAZY CAMPAIGNING" after 9/11 anniversary event
P.S. This will all be on OUR dime, as the taxpayers are paying to fly him hither and thither.

===

Armed with polling and historical data that suggest that it will be hard--though not impossible--for Democrats to retake the House in the fall, the White House has drawn up a travel schedule for the president and his top helpers to storm the nation in a pre-election blitz for Republicans.

"Until Election Day, we'll be out. It's crazy campaigning," says one administration official. While the election campaign officially kicked off on Labor Day, the White House effort won't get started until after the 9/11 anniversary events. But then, the president, vice president, first lady, Lynne Cheney, and top aides will be on the campaign trail talking up the economy, pushing for support for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, and decrying Democratic opponents as defeatists.

For the president, his travel will look like his 2002 model, when he stayed on the trail for days at a time. This year, look for the president to be out campaigning for two to three days at a stretch, say insiders. In many cases, he will hit two to three cities a day for House, Senate, and gubernatorial candidates. White House officials said that the blitz isn't a result of polling that suggests Democrats will take back the House.

Their data show that it will be very hard for Democrats to win the needed 15 seats, but the president and his political ace Karl Rove are leaving nothing to chance, says an administration official.

character assassination. Local (and national) Dems need to be prepared to have pointed, Democratic responses to this Administration's record - not their spin or their rhetoric..
