An e-mail exchange
from last night. This conversation started with someone sending that USPS Muslim holiday stamp. My reply was written at 2 AM.

last night.

Just to vent: I find it very disturbing how you always use lower case for
Bush, and then you are able to show enough respect to a dirty SOB like
Osama bin Laden.

K

I always do bush as lower case. (I will explain later down this letter.) All other names are upper case, even Cheney. Because Osama's name was upper case has no significance. Osama didn't take a pledge to defend our Constitution, bush did.

Osama is our enemy. He is doing what is expected from an enemy. As evil as he is, he has done as he said. He has been brutally honest and that makes for a very formidable enemy. A dishonest enemy can be undermined. His honesty has helped him recruit and keep a very loyal following. They will not betray him. Without disaffected followers it will be very difficult to crack his security. Our only hope is for him to make a mistake and we catch him in that mistake. With much of our assets in Iraq, it will be much harder.

bush's dishonesty has weakened him as a leader. 40,000 soldiers have left, gone AWOL, deserted, refused to follow his lead. His dishonesty has led us astray, has damaged our military, has lessened us in the eyes of our friends and has emboldened our enemies.

I began using lower case when bush started hurting our military. He cut military pay the same day he launched the invasion of Iraq. He has cut funding for veterans, has cut funding for brain trauma victims returning from Iraq. He didn't act when it became apparent that our soldiers didn't have top of the line ballistic vests, or up armored vehicles. Many didn't even have desert fatigues. Many had to do without meals because the delivery of food has been privatized and private contractors have no duty to sacrifice for our soldiers. We had to take up collections to help a friend's unit buy ballistic vests. They didn't even have toilet paper. Many were sleeping on the ground, with no tents while the contractors from Cheney's Halliburton were living in air conditioned structures and eating well prepared meals.

His war has weakened our military to the point where every tin horn dictator feels they can confront us and get their way.

One note on Iran. Through the nineties Iran was moderating, the revolution was losing its grip. The young educated population had moved the country to a more open, Liberal society. Those young people looked to the US and the west. They wanted to live in freedom just like us. The government was putting out feelers to us. They wanted to open relations with us. There was a chance of bringing Iran back into the community of nations. When bush put them into the "Axis of Evil" then attacked one of the nations in the axis, they became fearful and retreated into a more nationalistic mode. Their right wing government is the result of bush's bellicose nature.

1. Ha! Typical. The Bushbot picked up on some inane capitalization thing
and avoids anything of actual substance.

2. I can't wait to see how she responds. If her reading comprehension
is high, she will understand my argument. If not Homeland Security will be visiting.

4. I think I slapped her down good, or I disgusted her so much
she has blocked me out.
