PALAST, wanted by Homeland Security, freely allowed to board plane
Edited on Sun Sep-10-06 10:09 AM by sybylla
When I heard Greg Palast was facing charges by Homeland Security late last week, I feared he would miss an event in my state. He was scheduled to attend Fighting Bob Fest, the Progressive chatauqua now in it's fifth year which took place yesterday.

I was greatly relieved when, late yesterday afternoon, I saw Greg Palast walking around the Sauk County Fairgrounds.

After being introduced and receiving the accolades of the crowd, his first words were to question the competency of the TSA and the Department of Homeland Security. He explained for those who hadn't heard that he is a "wanted man," facing charges by the department of Homeland Security. Yet he was allowed to board a plane without a second glance. It appears incompetence reigns supreme.

He then proceeded to talk about the electoral shenanigans, how dissent and efforts to hold people accountable have been squelched, and how, after filiming the truth about this adminstration's supposed Katrina relief efforts for the BBC, namely a Fema trailer park neighboring an oil refinery, the Department of Homeland Security would threaten him with charges.

Do not fear, he said, the battle has only just begun.

And so many are standing behind you, Greg Palast!

7. Yes. He took a picture of the wrong place in N.O. that was supposed
to be secure, but wasn't. I think he was trying to point out the lack of homeland security.

6. He's still walking around is he? Well I guess he is just like Osama.
All he did was take a picture in N.O., so I guess the ties are not the same. So much for that bushitler homeland security. Hide the toothpaste!
