Gen. Mahmoud Ahmed, the head of the Pakistani intelligence service, was in Washington when the attacks occurred, conferring with government officials. The Indian press subsequently implicated him in wiring $100,000 to Mohamed Atta, the lead hijacker. When the story broke, he was pressured into retirement at U.S. insistence. His link to the attacks was never pursued.

Any "anti-conspiracy theorists" have any explanation for why Pakistan sent Atta money and yet never got pegged by the US as a terrorist supporter?

I learned about this years ago and have been wondering every since.

4. Did anyone hear the guy who called into Wash Journal FRI who said he

saw Atta and Moussaui in a store in Harrisburg,PA. on ?????? I didn't get the day - I think it was the 10th of September.

I have never been able to dismiss the internet posting by the person who came up with the Harrisburg, PA rendezvous theory for the passengers of all four flights - a little mirage using ghost aircraft, pulled off by the trick of switching transponders.

So now I can't forget this caller, either.

If anyone knows which article I'm referring to about the Harrisburg, PA rendezvous point - please let me know - I've lost it.

If anyone knows more about the caller story, please let me know.
