Easy election fixing!
Edited on Sat Sep-09-06 01:58 PM by dmosh42
I happened to catch this show on "Free Speech TV" that was all about the 'Diebold' voting machines. The people who produced it were in some district in Georgia.(I think) Anyway, they demonstrated to Howard Dean how easy it was to change the vote results. It seems all the machines transmit to a central tabulator, which is nothing more than a portable pc. She opened the program, went to the subtitle 'election results', and all the numbers come up for the candidates listed. All she had to do was bring the cursor over those numbers and do the change in seconds! Unless the poll watchers are right there all the time, the changes could be done very quickly before anyone noticed. Hard to believe we put our trust in this system.

1. I am surprised Howard Dean doesn't make more of this point.
A similar demonstration was made to Howard Dean BEFORE the 2004 election. As I recall, Howard Dean was the replacement host for Tina Brown's "Topic A" program. (now cancelled) Howard Dean's guest (I don't recall the name} demonstrated for him....on air....how easily they could manipulate/change the vote. They used a "made-up" ballot and manipulated the votes until they were satisfied with the outcome. It was astonishing to watch how easily this can be done. No outrage from ANYONE came from this demonstration....nothing....NADA.

This in just another example of how we only get the information, that best serves the Republican agenda. They are NOT going to give up their power.....and we would be foolish to think that the Bush regime is going to play by the rules. They are NOT going to let go.
