Naysayers and doomandgloomers. Lay down in the streets if you want

and continue to let them roll right over you. I will not join you in that gutter and wallow in fear and self-pity. I will say this again. WE AE NOT VICTIMS nor should we behave that way. I refuse to have my intelligence insulted and to participate in the perpetuation of lies and death and destruction. The failures of Iraq, Katrina, foreign relations and diplomacy, Korea, and Iran AND the media are all parts of the same thing. We battle the hydra and we battle to win or we just lay down and offer ourselves as victims to its maw. Katrina will come back--it's never gone away. Believe me, those images are in peoples consciousness along with * reading the children's story book on 9/11 and him looking out of a plane window from afar, distanced from pain and human suffering in his own little bubble. The people are smarter than that. We teach them that they are not victims and they have control of events. We fight the battles as they present themselves and anticipate the next one over the horizon.

WE ARE NOT VICTIMS. We stand and fight like citizens who love freedom or we die trying. Give me liberty!

1. Fucking A Right Bro!
You tell everybody! You can either be a victim or you can say you won't go down without a fight. I chose not to be a victim. Thank you very much!

2. Stand and fight
I plan to keep doing what I'm doing - carry the battle to them and don't back down. Its the only way we'll win and its a fight well worth fighting.

to me. While he was in there I gave him some of my books to read. When he started reading them he said, "Grandma, these are all about the end of the world." Today when he walked in he was eager to talk about them. "They are not about the end, they are about challenge." I was so proud of him. He is moving to make his own life better and now he has the added goal of making decisions that will help to make his community better.
