FBI Agents Told ABC About Errors 1 YR Ago-ABC REFUSED-To Correct Them
From Americablog
Saturday, September 09, 2006

NYT: FBI agents warned Disney/ABC that film was inaccurate A YEAR AGO, Disney/ABC refused to fix it
by John in DC - 9/09/2006

Disney/ABC was told about the errors a year ago and refused to correct them. You want libel? You got libel. This is an intentional tort now, full-blown malice.

Two retired F.B.I. agents said today that they had rejected advisory roles on the disputed ABC mini-series, “The Path to 9/11,” because of concerns about the program’s accuracy.

One of the agents, Thomas E. Nicoletti, was hired by the producers of the mini-series in July 2005 to oversee its technical accuracy, but left after less than a month because of scenes he believed were misleading or just false....

Chief among Mr. Nicoletti’s concerns were scenes that placed people at places they had not been present at and scenes that depicted events that were out of chronological order.

“There were so many inaccuracies,” he said.

Mr. Nicoletti said he asked the producers to make changes, but was rebuffed. “I’m well aware of what’s dramatic license and what’s historical inaccuracy,” Mr. Nicoletti said. “And this had a lot of historical inaccuracy.”

2. Nicoletti was on Countdown last night...
He was quite angry about how John O'Neill was portrayed, and that O'Neill is not around to defend himself.

3. Not only that but....
Roger Cressy (I think that is his name) who worked for Richard Clarke - told Randi Rhodes in an interview yesterday - that Richard Clarke who is an advisor working for ABC - volunteered to go over the script and to help them in anyway he could - and the folks in charge of the crockudrama said NO THANKS!

right before the anniversary of 9-11. Now the rest of the world can see them for the criminals and exploiters that they really are.

Thank God ABC fucked up by pre-releasing this drivel to their loyal army of parroting shitheads in the "media", otherwise, we might never have known in advance how very royally they were trying to screw us.

34. FBI
Now who in the hell believes an old FBI agent. Did he hold up another one of those books.
I'm sick of listening to their shit and wonder how in the hell we ever labeled them as our
intelligence.
They are nothing like the actors that play them in the movies and it's time for everyone to know that they belong to political parties their selves.
The credits will carry his name because he drew a check and that makes him part of the conspiracy.
A few years from now when George Tennet is called into court and shown to be a lying bastard it will be to late.

8. Someone should initiate a shareholder lawsuit
This company's board has made a decision to do a political hit at the expense of truth, and are doing so on the graves of 3000 Americans, to rewrite history to twist one party's failure to protect America into some sort of success.

They are committing libel. The experts are there objecting to the scenes, those portrayed are going on record with counsel stating unequivocally the portrayed incidents are false. The motive is there, as the director and producers have clear motive.

The shareholders have a gripe that the board is taking unacceptable risk with their investment, risking lawsuits, damage to corporate reputation and their station license.

The board should be tossed, the film shelved and the whole plot exposed. This is a political hit by Disney/ABC. Let the country see our 'liberal' media for all it is, a tool of the Cabal.

I own a round lot going waaay back before I knew better and Diz was just being PC with Gays. I wonder how many other DUers own a pinch of Diz?

I don't mind them taking the 9-11 story and making a novel out of it, although I think messing with reality is less believeable than the truth, and they would need to change alot in order to not offend victims' families. If they wanted to do a movie on terrorism, just call the movie something else, like "Bush on 7 Minutes Pause" or "Attack of the Clenis!" But overall, I think anything other than the truth with this timing is a greedy insult to the American people.

I won't be trusting them anymore. Kind of a big deal for BBC to tank it's own reputation.

Where the fuck is George Mitchell and why haven't we heard from him? Is abc so infiltrated with right wing fundies that it's willing to air this show despite the shit storm hitting them in the face? I guess I'll find out soon enough.

If they air it, we better see some lawsuits flying!

22. Well, this whole thing is a crock
ABC and Disney are total sleezes. We all know that. They never had any intention of telling the truth. They wanted to use 9/11 to trash Clinton (again) and attempt to make some desperate political hay before the election.

24. Today Show on 9/9/06 cut him off
The idiotic Today show with Lester Holt cut Nicoletti off this AM as he was detailing two scenes from the production with obvious inaccuracies.
Nicoletti was describing one ficticious scene when Holt, obviously responding to his earpiece, cut him off as he was about to detail the second scene.
Damn these bastards.

I know it is not right to portray the president as a terrorist enabler while he is in office, but the second he leaves office...well, whistleblowers know what to do, we just need a network that has the balls to produce a more realistic "docu-drama".

36. I see it now, "A Christmas Without Disney"

That's it, they try to swift boat the truth, then we don't go to their theme parks, ride on their cruise ships, buy their videos, or their toys. Say Bye Bye to the Disney Kingdom. They wouldn't distribute Michael Moore's movie because they SAID they didn't want to deal with controversial subjects. So 40 million dollars later, two months before an election they want to air this pack of lies commercial free. Gee Sinclair tried this trick once before. And to top it off, It's airing unedited in New Zealand right now. What's next, a rush Halloween release of the foreign release?!!!! I think this is a GOP campaign contribution.

arent swift boaters ever sued if what they say is false and libelous??? I mean, I understand that public figures are allowed to be bashed to a certain extent by virtue of the fact that they are public figures. But if its a lie which damages careers and reputations....?
