Help! - Reverse diet
I got a call for a Viking movie being shot here in the wilds of Nova Scotia. 6 week shoot mid Oct.
They gave me 6 weeks notice to grow my hair long (no problem) and a decent beard. The looting, r*ping and pillaging are also no problem, BUT they want me to put on about 100 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can I do that in 6 weeks - I'm a kinda skinny guy, exercise a lot.

Any suggestions?

MODS - Feel free to move to the Lounge or wherever.

Mike

1. Watch the title sequence to "Alexei Sayle's Stuff"...
or, better yet, get proshetics to make you look fat without eating enough food to make you 100 pounds overweight (500 bags of Oreo cookies would do it...). :wow:

2. 100 pounds of what in 6 weeks?
If it's muscle, it's impossible (literally).

If it's fat, you probably can, but it'll also probably kill you.

3. Be the Viking that just got back from being shipwrecked or
escaped from a dungeon, gaining that much weight that fast is impossible, unless you smoke, then just quit and the pounds will pile on like magic.

4. Try this
It worked when I was a skinny teenager.
Oatmeal with cream, butter and sugar for breakfast every day.

11. Heavy cream is very high calorie.
There are also some types of oils that are highly caloric.. I think almond oil is one.

I'm not sure how much these things would help, I'm thin and find it almost impossible to gain weight.

I would definitely avoid eating a lot of processed foods or compromising your health by putting on weight so quickly. Your skin probably can't accomodate an extra 100 lbs in 6 weeks, so there's also that to consider.

5. The guy who made the "Supersize Me" movie...
...put on about 20 lbs in under three weeks by eating nothing but McDonalds. Of course, his doctors also said his cholesterol had hit dangerous levels and he was suffering from several nutritional deficiencies, so they cut his month-long experiment short. I'm guessing that cramming your face with fast food three or more times per day should get you to your goal, but you'll need to spend the next year eating nothing but salad to get back where you are now.

7. There's no way to literally gain 100 lbs without, like, DYING in the
process. Find a fake way to do it, or don't do it.

8. cheese
Lots of cheese and pastas and southern fried cookin'. Oh to have the problem of how to gain weight.

You do know if you put on 100 pounds you are creating new fat cells and you may never take it all off again. Are you sure you don't want to look into a fat suit??

10. Go with some kind of padding.
It's just not possible to gain 100 pounds, either of fat or muscle, in 6 weeks without killing yourself one way or another. By all means get cracking on the benchpress for those authentic looking arms, but for body size, you'll have to find a substitute.

12. Buffalo Wings. Pizza. French Fries. Milk Shakes. Prime Rib w/gravy
and mashed potatoes.

Rinse. Repeat.

(Although the kind of hair you can grow in 6 weeks isn't "long", IMHO) :hippie:

The kid who called to booked me is about 25.
100 lbs is nothing to him.
They said don't worry - we have prosthetics.

The beard I can do.

My Doc said "Are they Crazy?"
Thanks everyone.

A grand a day for six weeks filming. That would have covered the funeral costs!

:):)
